Who we are

This is the website of Sarah Langslow Limited, trading as Sarah Langslow Coaching (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our website address is: https://sarahlangslow.com.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you can contact us at sarah@sarahlangslowcoaching.com

This site does not offer account registration or login. We only collect personal information where you choose to give it to us, in the ways set out below.

What information we collect, and why

Booking a call (Acuity Scheduling)

If you click through to book a call with us, you will be taken to Acuity Scheduling, a third-party booking platform. Any information you provide to make a booking (such as your name, email address, and any details you enter about the purpose of the call) is collected and processed by Acuity Scheduling, not by us directly, in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do receive your booking details in order to prepare for and conduct the call.

Buying the book

If you click through to purchase a copy of the book, you will be taken to a third-party retailer’s website. Any information you provide to complete that purchase (such as payment and delivery details) is collected and processed by that retailer, not by us. We do not see or store your payment information.

Subscribing to the Substack newsletter

If you click through to read or subscribe to the newsletter, you will be taken to Substack, a third-party publishing platform. Any information you provide there (such as your email address) is collected and processed by Substack in accordance with their own privacy policy, and your subscription (including unsubscribing) is managed through Substack directly.

Contacting us

If you fill in the contact form, we collect:

  • Your name and email address (required), so that we can identify you and reply
  • What you’re interested in, and any additional message you choose to include (optional)

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up about our services. We do not add you to any mailing list from the contact form alone.

Downloading companion resources (Book page)

If you download a companion resource from the book page, we ask for your name and email address (required). By providing your email address here, you are also opting in to receive our weekly Substack newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or via your Substack account settings.

Our legal basis for processing your data

Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for adding you to the newsletter when you download a companion resource
  • Legitimate interests — for responding to enquiries made through the contact form, where doing so is a reasonable and expected part of running our business
  • Contract or steps taken at your request — where information is needed to arrange or deliver a service you’ve asked for (e.g. a booked call)

You can withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time by unsubscribing.

Cookies

Our website is built on WordPress. Like most websites built on these platforms, ours may use a small number of essential or functional cookies set automatically by the platform to allow the site to function correctly (for example, to remember basic display preferences or to support page performance). We do not currently add any additional analytics or advertising tracking tools ourselves.

For full details of the cookies set by our website platform, please refer to WordPress’s own cookie policy here.

Third-party links

Our site contains links to third-party services, including Acuity Scheduling, book retailers, and Substack. When you click through to any of these, you leave our website and are subject to that third party’s own privacy policy and terms, not ours. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.

How long we keep your data

  • Contact form enquiries: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, and then deleted or anonymised, typically within 12 months.
  • Companion resource downloads / newsletter opt-ins: your email address is retained by Substack for as long as you remain subscribed, and is removed when you unsubscribe.

We do not retain data collected by third parties (Acuity Scheduling, book retailers, Substack) – that is governed by their own retention policies.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with the third-party services necessary to provide the relevant function, specifically:

  • Acuity Scheduling (for booking calls)
  • Substack (for newsletter subscription and delivery)

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request that we correct any inaccurate data
  • Request that we erase your data, subject to any legal or administrative obligations we may have to retain it
  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. by unsubscribing from the newsletter)
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled: https://ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these rights in relation to data we hold directly (e.g. contact form submissions), please contact us at sarah@sarahlangslowcoaching.com.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information you provide to us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date.
